In the first semester of my third year of study (2020-2021) I will be there for 24 weeks worked at the urban planning office BURA urbanism. I chose BURA because of the diversity of scale levels so that I could broadly orientate myself on the progress of my career. Besides, I was interested in an office that was active in different phases of the urban planning process. Finally, I wanted to work in a (largely) design/creative office where I could also participate in this process. 

During my internship at BURA Urbanism I mainly participated in a project in Leiden and Gorinchem. It The aim of the Werninkterrein (Leiden) project was a contribution to contribute to the urbanization task of the city ​​and region of Leiden through a former business park to be redeveloped into a residential area. To get acquainted I made a model with the location in which a lot of experimentation was done according to housing types. In a later process of the project I have visualized five design principles and put them into participation with residents and other stakeholders. The aim of the project 'The Wings of Gorinchem' was to contribute to the urbanization challenge from the city and region of Gorinchem to based on predefined action points. There are performed several analyzes from which three scenarios have been drawn up. In this short period I have be able to learn the 3D software Rhino, the images on page 17 are exports from this program.
