This project was dominated by program and use of space, with particular emphasis on breathing new life into the unpleasant Beverwijk station area. Beverwijk was initially analyzed at different scale levels, which made it clear what the problems were. Subsequently, these problems were translated into tasks of both regional and local importance. These tasks have been developed into three visions. A regional vision, a local vision and a vision specific to the station area. Finally, this vision has been translated into two partial elaborations that reinforce and complement each other. The partial elaboration shown here concerns part of the business park and has the potential to act as a link in the urban fabric. The concept of this design consists of three main themes. These are (1) rest-noise noise, (2) development from the station area and (3) sightlines on the water.
